Nancy Kemmer is an award-winning, plein air watercolorist who has enjoyed painting since she was a little girl. Her first painting, at age 16, still remains framed and on display in her home (that painting is not for sale).

Nancy lives in the Central Valley of California and creates most of her paintings onsite in nearby locations familiar to Central Californians. Her paintings capture the essence of the beautiful valley in which she lives.

When weather prevents a trip outdoors, she paints flowers or fruit in her studio.

Many of Nancy's paintings have received recognition and awards in art competitions in various California venues including Awards of Merit in the prestigious California Exposition Fine Arts Competition.

Be sure to visit the web galleries on this site, where you'll learn the story behind each painting; Where she was, what the weather was like, or perhaps something interesting that happened while she was painting.

You'll also find it easy to make an original Nancy Kemmer watercolor part of your own collection.
